The $89 Dryer Vent Cleaning, Line by Line

Most companies make you book a visit just to hear a price. Here's ours, including the part that can change it.

Why only $89?

In South Florida, plenty of cheap offers turn into a much bigger bill once someone is standing in your laundry room. Our $89 covers a standard dryer vent: one that exits through a wall and can be reached safely. That's a straightforward job with the right tools, so we price it honestly.

When a vent is different, we tell you before we start, not after.

How it works

How Our Dryer Vent Cleaning Works

  1. 01

    Camera inspection

We look inside the vent and show you what's there: lint, blockages or damage.

  2. 02

    Clear price

A standard vent is $89. Roof vent or hard-to-reach setup? You get the price before we go any further.

  3. 03

    Brush both ends

A rotary brush sized to your vent loosens lint stuck to the walls, from the dryer side and from the outside exit.

  4. 04

    Remove the lint

Loosened lint is pulled out with a vacuum, not pushed deeper into the line. Then we clean the lint trap.

  5. 05

    Airflow check

We reconnect the dryer, run it, and check the airflow at the outside vent.

Also checked on every visit

  • Transition hose: the flexible hose behind your dryer, checked for kinks, crushing and plastic material
  • Outside cap and flap: cleaned and checked to make sure it opens fully
  • Dryer connection: checked for lint that slips past the lint screen

Fire safety

Why Dryer Vent Cleaning Matters

Every load pushes lint, moisture and heat through your vent. In South Florida's humidity, lint can stay damp and cling to the vent walls, and many condos and townhomes have long vent runs where buildup goes unnoticed. A clogged vent makes your dryer run hotter and longer, wastes energy, and raises the risk of fire.

  • 15,970home fires a year involved clothes dryers or washing machines
  • 92%of those fires involved the dryer
  • 33%of home dryer fires were linked to failure to clean, the leading factor
  • 27%of dryer fires started when dust, fiber or lint caught fire first

Source: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Home Fires Involving Clothes Dryers and Washing Machines. Annual averages for 2010–2014, a period that also saw an estimated 13 deaths, 440 injuries and $238 million in property damage each year.

Simple habits that help

  • Clean the lint filter before or after every load
  • Use rigid or flexible metal venting, not plastic
  • Make sure the outside vent isn't blocked
  • Turn the dryer off when you leave home or go to bed

FAQ

Dryer Vent Cleaning Questions, Answered

How much does dryer vent cleaning cost in South Florida?

Our Basic Dryer Vent Cleaning is $89. It includes a camera inspection of the vent, cleaning of the entire vent from both ends, and cleaning of the lint trap. Roof vents and vents with complicated access may cost more, and we give you that price before any extra work begins.

What's included in the $89 dryer vent cleaning?

A camera inspection so you can see what's inside your vent, a full cleaning of the vent from both ends (the dryer side and the outside exit), and a lint trap cleaning. We also check the transition hose, the outside cap and flap, and the dryer connection. There's no service call fee.

When does dryer vent cleaning cost more than $89?

When the vent exits through the roof, or when it's hard to reach safely, for example a dryer in a tight closet or a vent exit high on an outside wall. We explain why and give you the exact price before we start.

Do you clean roof dryer vents?

Yes. Roof vents take extra equipment and time, so they're priced on site. You'll know the price before any roof work begins.

How often should I clean my dryer vent in South Florida?

We recommend once a year. Homes with big families, frequent laundry, or long vent runs (common in condos and townhomes) may need it more often. In between, clean the lint filter before or after every load.

How long does a dryer vent cleaning take?

Most standard homes take 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Long vent runs and roof vents can take longer.

What are the signs my dryer vent needs cleaning?

Clothes that need more than one cycle to dry, a dryer or laundry room that gets very hot, a burning smell, lint collecting around the dryer or outside vent, and an outside flap that doesn't open when the dryer runs. If you smell burning, stop using the dryer and call us.

Is a clogged dryer vent really a fire risk?

Yes. According to the NFPA, U.S. fire departments responded to an average of 15,970 home fires a year involving clothes dryers or washing machines from 2010 to 2014. Failure to clean was the leading factor in dryer fires.

What areas do you serve?
