Doral
Doral takes its name from Doris and Alfred Kaskel, who bought swampland in western Dade County in the late 1950s and opened the Doral Country Club in 1962. The first neighborhoods, Doral Estates and Doral Park, followed in the early 1980s, and the city incorporated in 2003. Doral grew from about 45,700 people in 2010 to about 75,900 in 2020, adding new communities and the mid-rise buildings of Downtown Doral.
